no wi-fi?
ok this is stupid for some reason i cant connect to the wireless at work now so im without internet until friday …. arg!! this sux …but im going to the movies with a friend friday night …or at least i hope we are i have to find out what the times are before i know we are going to be able to go.

Well the cable “technician” has been over. The equipment has been installed. The verdict? “It just won’t work.”
Apparently the cable wiring in our apartment was a prototype coax used back in the Mesozoic Era and simply won’t transmit the signal from the cable box 20 feet away. Now no one can decide who’s responsible for fixing said cable and how/what should be fixed. I’ve talked to the landlord twice and the cable company twice (if only they’d talk to each other) to no avail.
So right now we have one jack in the place that’s functional. We can either watch cable TV, or have the internet. But not both. Use a splitter you say? Nope, then they both don’t work. Buy an amplifier you say? Works for the TV, but not for the internet. Which would be great if we wanted to run a 25 foot cable across the carpet from the bedroom to the living room.
So for now I’m up a creek with out a paddle paying for a service I can only halfway use. Tomorrow I’ll bitch more and see if it does any good.

Wow, now I thought that since I was out of SWK, I wouldn’t have to put up with rediculious inconsistancy in United’s internet service. But since I left, I’ve still been using Dad’s homepage space to host images and such. And for at least yesterday and today, their servers have all been down. I mean, not even their homepage is working. And knowing that it’s after 5:00, I can’t imagine they have anyone working on the problem. Hell, they may not even be aware of it!
It wouldn’t be a problem if I had my own internet, because I’d just set up my own webserver. But since I don’t, well ain’t nothin’ I can do. So I guess until Ucom is fixed, you won’t be able to see the pics I took of the apartment. Sorry.

My third day of work and I am working a split shift cuz someone called in sick. And lucky me! I get to work my day off tomorrow, too. Isn’t part of having a job, showing up when we’re scheduled? Oh yeah, silly me…it’s ME showing up when they are scheduled. I confuse that a lot!
And a question for Andrea…that elbow thing is back. Til I get to the dr., is it ice it down or use heat? I can’t remember. I have my little elbow splint thingy to use, but can you refresh my memory on the cold/warm part?

Ok…can anyone tell me why all of a sudden ie browser chooses certain websites that it doesn’t want to load. A message appears that I need to reset my settings to get this site to load, when it has loaded all this time with no problem before and I didn’t get into anything and change anything. Pages just start to scroll magically sometimes. It’s freaky…suddenly the page just whirls with a mind of it’s own.

I work pretty hard at my job to let the people above me know that if they give me a task they can be assured it’ll be completed on time and to a high standard. Ironically as my standards go up, theirs go down.
It’s gotten to the point where major pieces of production are being given to me at the last minute that are due the next day, and have no bearing or direction. Now I’m all for creative freedom when it comes to my work. But I’m not all for having to redo what I just stayed an hour late for again because so and so decided it wasn’t important enough to leave me a note as to what they wanted done.
Why is it that people think that they can pull crap like this, and as long as you don’t complain, that means you don’t mind it. I do last minute crap at work for one obvious reason. I’m the last person to leave and things have to be ready for tomorrow. Abuse that fact and prepare to be suprised when crap your responsible for isn’t done the next day. Just because you write my name on your work doesn’t mean I assume your responsibility, ya know?
Anyway, hopefully a couple people at work tomorrow will have some intersting questions to answer after I had to finally call the General Manager of the radio station at 7:45 pm to get the information I needed. He he.

where people seem to think they are the master of your destiny? I’m talking about the trivial to the not so trivial events and/or details?!?! And which is more frustrating…the attempt to alter the trivial details or the major ones? Dang! that is a hard question!!!! Well, just sharing a thought. ok i found out today i am not going to have internet this summer its going to be shut off the network admin did not know i was going to be living up there this summer arg this is the suck i have no phone no cable and soon no internet …..I HAVE VIRUAL COLLEGE CLASSES!!! how am i suppse to do those ?????

ok im finally able to connect to the TMP internet however a cannnot get msn messenger to connect i can only connect through msn webmessenger our network admin told me that i shouldnt have any problems conneting HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA thats funny i hate novell networking its so friggin gay i swear ….. ok enough of me ranting im gonna log off and call it a night

lately i havent been posting much on the blog thats been very positive and this one is not an exception. I found out that it looks like im going to have to close everyday this summer. Also i found out i may have to open as well this means for the next three months i have to be at work by 8 am work a couple of hours leave and come back to close and to top it all off i can tell you what im going work next fall as well. my current boss makes our schedules out almost 10 months in advance. Making it very hard to plan stuff in advance. thank goodness i cant work more than 10hrs for the nazi since ill start my new job in the fall i am looking forward to it no more computer tech support for me.
