My Project
Well, I had posted a while back that I was in search of a project to work on. I’d thought about building a go-kart, but realized after I move to Manhattan, I wouldn’t be able to use it much. And after a lot of thinking, I’ve decided I want to restore an old tube radio from the 1940’s.
It’ll be fun, challenging, but not impossible. Just exactly what I’m looking for! And not too expensive as it looks now. I got the radio for $45 on eBay, and it’s surely got bad capacitors, which in total would be about ten bucks. From there, it’s either repair or replace the turn table motor/switch and a new cartridge for the tone arm.
Really I think it’s a beautiful radio. Wish me luck!

Yeah, it’s been pretty slow in my neck of the woods too. The weather has been crappy too. When it’s not windy as all hell, it’s butt cold outside. Now how am I supposed to practice golf in that weather?
Oh well. There’s always sleeping for fun.

4/20…Greatest Day of the Year?
I know this is a couple days late…but I just thought about it. Does everyone else on this blog know about 4/2o…cause I sure didn’t. I was made fun of by my fellow work mates the other day cause I didn’t know what 420 stood for.
Well…it turns out to be ‘weed day’. Like I would know that! They said it was the cops ‘code’ for marijuana. Hmm…why would I know about the cops code to marijuana. I don’t smoke it!
Anyways, just wondering if anyone else thinks I’m stupid for not knowing this little ‘fact’. 😉
