Seriously though.

I work pretty hard at my job to let the people above me know that if they give me a task they can be assured it’ll be completed on time and to a high standard. Ironically as my standards go up, theirs go down.

It’s gotten to the point where major pieces of production are being given to me at the last minute that are due the next day, and have no bearing or direction. Now I’m all for creative freedom when it comes to my work. But I’m not all for having to redo what I just stayed an hour late for again because so and so decided it wasn’t important enough to leave me a note as to what they wanted done.

Why is it that people think that they can pull crap like this, and as long as you don’t complain, that means you don’t mind it. I do last minute crap at work for one obvious reason. I’m the last person to leave and things have to be ready for tomorrow. Abuse that fact and prepare to be suprised when crap your responsible for isn’t done the next day. Just because you write my name on your work doesn’t mean I assume your responsibility, ya know?

Anyway, hopefully a couple people at work tomorrow will have some intersting questions to answer after I had to finally call the General Manager of the radio station at 7:45 pm to get the information I needed. He he.

Rant for the month now over. If you have a related work/school type story to share, by all means! Post here.

Good job, Matt. Amazing how people tend to think they are pretty amazing when they can slack off and let someone else do their work. Yeah, those are the REALLY COOL people. They can all feel free line up and kiss my unemployed butt. I did the same crap.
