I don’t have to go to the bank to get cash anymore! :)
I know it sounds kinda korny, but I do not have to go to the bank to get money anymore. That’s right, I got my atm card (since they won’t let me have a check card) and my awesomely cool checks.
Yup, that’s right, they’re K-Sate checks! Notice the Wildcat logos on the left and right (they’re kinda hard to see, but they’re there!). I love ’em, I love ’em, I love ’em!
As you all know (or at least some of you), I am a K-Stater and I love it! I live it, breathe it, and will die for it! Hehe. K-State Football here I come! (Saturday, Sept. 3; kick-off @ 1:50pm against Florida International)
The New Place
Well, aren’t I clever? And as long as nobody at work freaks out, I should have the pics of the apartment up and running.
I had to do a little hacking and whacking, but I was able to get a webserver up and running at work. So I can post pics and webpages now independant of freakin’ Ucom!

I started a different job…waiting tables during lunch at the bar here. It’s just a few days a week. The job is basically simple, so I am hoping I don’t fail miserably at it!
In a couple weeks I get to go on my first poker run. I have no basis for comparison, but I hear it’s a good one to go to. I think we start in Dodge and ride to different locations and pick up a card til we have a five card hand…best hand wins. I’m excited!!!
So, see…things haven’t changed much out here. Even the excitement is rather dull! hee hee

Moved In
Welp, we’re all in the new place. It’s soo nice having… well rooms. And a dishwasher! And a bigger bed! And all sorts of cool stuff. A deck that really needs painted. But still.
I’m liking it so far. Still have the guest/computer room to finish unpacking, then I think we’re all in. The place just feels so big to me, it’s weird.
But if anybody’s rolling through Manhattan anytime, feel free to get ahold of me and swing on by for a tour and a bratwurst!
non-eventful days
Well not much has happened in the last few days. I still havn’t gotten my car window fixed and its been hot as hell outside this week.
Good news has come my way I was interviewed yesturday for a new position in the computing center. I can’t tell you what I will be doing in this new position because im not allowed to talk about it. It’s a hush hush thing… very important..(I’m not joking). I’ll become very dangerous with the info ill be working with. (insert devil type grin here)
Just a few more weeks an I’ll get to start building my new computer. I’m getting everything researched and learning alot about building computers. I’ve never actually built a machine this one will be my first. Out of everything I know about computers hardware is not my strong point. I’m more of an expert with software. its alot easier to understand for me.
Oh where, oh where have the bloggers gone!?
Well, I know its been pretty slow on the blog here lately. But I have been a smidge busy with work, and remotes every weekend. I did get the radio working, record changer and all. But I think I’m going to go back and mess with the antenna circuit a bit to get better reception.
Got the deposit down for the apartment in Manhattan, so I will be moving there come August 1st. Gonna be pretty rockin. Andrea thinks we’re not having a house warming party, but I’m telling ya right now. You’re invited. 😉
I’ll be in the Ingalls/Cimarron area next weekend. I’ll be pretty booked Saturday. I’m going to be DJing Garf’s wedding. It’s alot of work but I’m looking forward to it. And I might be booked Sunday too. I want to swing by Dad’s place and see if Carrie has had my brother/sister yet. And then I’m pretty sure it’s grillin’ at Mom’s place.
So that’s my life for the next week or so. Still gonna be busy until then. And Country Stampede after that. Then I’m going to sleep all July.

Waiting
Well, I was all worried about not being able to work on the radio over the weekend. Thought that it would drive me crazy. But really, I’ve done all that I can do until some parts arrive. So I was able to just kick it and relax with Andrea’s family.
You wouldn’t know, because she doesn’t seem to post here, but Andrea graduated from Cowley County Community College on Saturday! WOO HOO! She doesn’t think it’s much, but its a very visible step towards getting her bachelor’s and I’m proud of her.
So many of my friends are talking about finals and stuff that it reminds me of being in school. And how much I don’t miss any of it. And how much I don’t regret a day of quitting college. I’m doing what I love, have the talent I need to advance, and can find very little to complain about. Except that my damn capacitors won’t be here until WEDNESDAY! Dang it, I gotta see if this radio will work!
