I can’t believe it. The only hitch was I needed one more IDE cable. I picked that up in town and the computer works like a charm. I seriously can’t believe I didn’t screw anything up. Everything went exactly like it was supposed to. Either I know more than I thought, or anybody could do this.

msn messenger …..grrrrr
The MSN Messenger Service is experiencing worldwide sporadic problems this weekend. Ranging from contact lists not being available, to service outages, the problems have worsened today with many unable to sign on at all.
Some users are still connected but many have been forced off the Messenger Service. MSN’s status page which provides updates to customers about any service problems is currently experiencing “Server is too busy” errors and ASP errors.
We are awaiting a response on these issues from Microsoft; it is not known exactly what is causing the problems. Previously, human error has triggered large outages on the popular chat network.

My car, and this little guy have so much in common. *sniffle*
After extensive diagnosis including the use of GPS and lasers… I’ve concluded the the damage done was largely cosmetic. The car still retians all the basic functions of an automobile. It moves under it’s own power… seats up to 5…. invites wildlife into it’s path…
I’ve removed the grill, as it would have become a road hazard for anyone following me as the pieces fell from my car. I will need to silicone a protective sheet of plastic over what was formerly the drivers side headlight, and engineer an innovative restraint system to keep what are essentally the car’s eyes from falling out of their eye sockets. Beyond that, I don’t see any reason this car can’t make it to 200,000 miles.
But you can bet your sweet bippy this baby has an appointment with the first push, pull, or tow sale I can find!

The hooptie takes another hit! At least that damned deer is dead! Yes, my car has now suffered a collision on all four sides. This is a certifiable hooptie, folks.
It still seems to run, but what powers it is now a mystery, as this car has endured more punishment than any car should ever experience. A slow painful death. However it’s will to go forward remains. And it’s perhaps that will is the only means of propelling this wonder of mechanical debauchery.

01.20.05viruses and worms
computer viruses and worms suck FHSU campus got hit by one last night at about 8:50 pm. Its called the love me worm. Its sent over the msn messenger service in a file called “love_me.pif.” This worm installs itself on you computer disables your sound and proceeds to send itself to everycontact on your list. i was lucky to have up to date anti-virus and saved my computer however my roommate wasnt so lucky……
Today we take it to100%
I’m going to put the new speaker setup through its paces today. I figure watching the climatic battle in the Matrix Revolutions should do the trick. I might even turn it up to -20 =O
But not before I go get some eats and register my car tags. Oh boy oh boy! You’re all invited by the way. Ha ha. Sucks that I live so far from everyone.

I ordered my new desktop today through NewEgg It’s nothing to salivate over, but it should be fun enough to put together. Plus I’ll be setting up a server that should have some decent uptime. (Laptops just don’t make ideal server hosts.)
A rundown of the basic specs:

A brand new computer for right at $500. That’s if I don’t screw anything up. 😛
