Yay!

I’m so excited. Bryan has a job interview with Pepsi tomorrow at 4. I’m pretty sure he’ll get the job. He’ll be a route delivery driver and in sales. He’ll make a salary plus commisions of what he sells. He had a friend who worked there, said he brought home $1,000 a week! So, I’m pretty proud of him. He heard about a bunch of people getting the boot out there so he saw the opportunity to apply! So, say a prayer that his interview goes well!

Countdown to Bond time!

It sure seems like a while since the last 007 movie. I see it’s due out next year…is that right? Complete with a new James Bond. I can’t say I’ve heard of Daniel Craig, is he going to be another George Lazaby? (spelled wrong, I know) I’m looking forward to the release of “Casino Royale”, same director as “Golden Eye”, so it’s gotta be decent!

I’ve been searching for a good movie to go see for a couple months and there just isn’t anything that jumped out at me. Any suggestions, you all? Or will it be 12 plus months before I find something worth the $7 ticket fee?

Can’t get over this jerk!

Posted by:  Jamie

If you remember from a past blog, my husband’s boss uses his employees to do all of his personal CRAP! Last week, Bryan had to clean up his basement because the sewer had backed up. The day before that, he had to clean up the boss’s son’s throw up!

So anyways, Bryan comes home last night and says, “Tomorrow is Cori’s (the boss) birthday. Everyone is putting money in to get him something.” My first reaction, NO! He told me that, well everyone is giving some so I’ll look like an ass not giving anything. So I undersood that I guess.

“Give $5.” I tell him.

“Well everyone else is giving $35!”

AAHHH! This is total madness! Everyone giving the boss money, the man who has over 200 GRAND in his checking account. Am I on some alternate universe where NONE of this makes sense?! This man makes my husband clean up his SHIT… literally!! He mops up his sewer water and now wants a GIFT from us?!?! I said, “Nothing more than $10. That is the most you will give!”

Now Bryan tells me he won’t get to leave for his lunch hour tomorrow since they are having a “Birthday BBQ” for his boss. “Well, you’ll just have to miss our prenatal appointment tomorrow then…”

Bryan apologized all over himself this morning for not being able to make it to the appointment. I said, “I’m not mad at you. It just blows my mind that you’re paying him 10 bucks to miss your son’s, and my appointment tomorrow.”

What kind of boss can’t understand: “I think my family and our baby-to-be need the money, and we can’t really afford to give him anything right now?” How hard to undersand would that be, for the boss?!?! I know that here at the Journal during Thanksgiving and Christmas that they ask people if they want to give money to the company. Call me greedy but I’m not giving up my hard earned wages to a company worth millions… nay…. BILLIONS of dollars!

Am I wrong for how I think? Is it wrong to not give money to his boss for his birthday? All this for a man who can’t give out a Christmas bonus, or do anything for his employees on the holiday’s other than making them clean up human waste?!?!

Hey, Matt! Flashback time…

I’ve been playing Mario 64 again…do you remember back when it was ‘new’, I’d get to a level and get stuck? It’d be, “Matt, kill this bad guy.” “Matt, get me past this.” “Matt, do this level for me.” Yeah, well, somethings never change! I took the 64 back over to Jamie’s house last Saturday cuz I couldn’t bet the second Bowser…(he’s a beee-och to grab) and had Jamie do that level for me! John’s gotten hooked on it, too. He was playing when Jamie and Bryan came to pick up Daisy and had Jamie finish his second Bowser and a couple other levels.

We’ve got to schedule a trip to Manhattan…Bryan wants to take you on in MarioKart64. He didn’t put two and two together til I told him your nickname has been KartMaster for a reason. So, practice up! You and Andrea get ready for a big Mario Kart Fest in the future!

Love Ya! Mom

Angry Kitty!

Posted by:  Jamie

Ever since Daisy was declawed, back in July, one of her toes hasn’t been right. It swells up and gets infected and gooey! We’ve taken her back numerous times to the vet here in Dodge and it’s still acting up.

So, Mom took her to the vet in Cimarron. We figured the jerks here in Dodge weren’t doing anything for her. Boy is she one pissed kitty now! I was at work and so Mom took her for me. She called me when she got home. She held the phone up to the carrier Daisy was in… “Growl…. Hiss…. Growl!”

They said the infection is in her bone. I guess when the idiot over here in Dodge was declawing her he chipped the bone, and so now it’s all messed up. We have to give her medicine and if that doesn’t work, they have to put her under and open it up and clean it out. Eeep!

When are you getting Nala declawed and spayed?!?! Make sure when you take her in for the checkup afterwards you tell them to look over her incision, and each of her toes. They weren’t even going to look at Daisy’s paws, so I asked them, and guess what… Infected toe!!!

So I’m going to give her some goat’s milk (that’s her favorite) and suck up big time tonight!

PSP get virused!

Well looks like the PSP has been hacked. People who were hoping to modify their systems so they can play overseas games or pirated games will now find that their PSPs don’t work at all. Ha ha.

Technical Difficulties

Well I was having some trouble with the computer today, so if you were wondering why the blog wasn’t up. That would be it.

I had to buy a new power supply because the old one was about to go kaput. And then it somehow messed up the driver for my keyboard, so the keyboard was causing random restarts.

It should all be ironed out so we should be up and running full time again.

Uncle Matt!

Posted by: Jamie

Tuesday evening, Mom and I headed to Wichita to see the baby specialist. The appointment was Wednesday early morning, so we figured we would go up the night before and find the place, since we didn’t exactly know where it was.

We found it no sweat, and actually made it to the office an hour before my appointment! We got in really quick! Probably a good 30 minutes before my scheduled time! Then we waited… and waited… and waited some more.

Finally the nurse poked her head into the room and said, “The doctor isn’t here, we don’t know where she is. She’s probably at the hospital. She’ll be here as soon as she can.” Well, great! So Mom and I stand at the window, gawk at idiots running in the rain and all the fancy cars driving around (wasting another good 30 minutes or so).

The doctor has arrived! Only not the one I’m supposed to see. This guy is supposedly her associate doctor. Or partner in crime, whatever you want to call it. How can I describe this guy? Think of the godfather. Pick any of the mafia men off there. That was him! Dr. Polano. Obviously Italian. Looked like he drove a black caddie, and his buddies call him “Skinny P”!

He had nothing but good things to say, about my bloodwork and the pregnancy. As he flipped through my charts he said, “Oh, we do have one problem.” I guess in Dr. Fry’s documentation of my sonagrams, the dates weren’t matching up. So he ordered me to have another sonagram!

They looked at the baby, and measured everything you could imagine! The circumference of his head, and around his belly. How big his stomach was. The brain size and brain mass. The placenta. The umbilical cord. How long the arms were.

They moved down to measure the legs. They looked around. I said, “Hmmm… that sure looks like a boy!” She said, at 14 weeks it’s pretty early. But she told me that she was pretty sure also that it was a boy! When it’s that early it can be a girl, but with the hormones and everything it can make the “little girl parts” swolen and therefore hard to distinguish between the two.

She told me though, that she would be VERY surprised if it WASN’T a little boy! So along with all my sonagram pictures I got yesterday, I got one with a little pee pee and an arrow pointing to it saying, “BOY PARTS!”

We got out of the office and to the elevator. I jumped up and down and had to celebrate in the fact that, “I KNEW IT WAS A BOY!” Everyone said I was crazy for thinking in the last picture that it was in fact a “HE” But, I was right, and I had to have a celebration dance! :o)

So, congrats to Uncle Matt, on your new Nephew! Bryson Edward Duncan!
