  1. Matt Says:

In October, Nintendo won a preliminary injunction against kiosk owners selling hardware units with built-in multiple counterfeit NES games in Washington state. The court order was critical to persuade mall management companies across the United States to shut down kiosks in the malls they managed. Many of the operators were in the United States illegally and have since been deported to their respective homelands.

He he. There was one of these in the mall in Manhattan during the holidays. It looked like an N64 controller and claimed to have 12,000 games on it. Oh there were 12,000 titles to chose from all right. But many of them were repeated dozens of times over, making it near impossible to find the game you would have actually wanted to play.

I never picked one up, as I thought the $30 price tag was too much. Especially for something that was an obvious rip off of Nintendo. I’d rather pile up used NES games anyday.
