You all will surely be able to tell me what this is about…
I was buying dvds last night and picked up a package marked “DVD-R” and this guy standing there said, “You don’t want ‘DVD-R’. You want ‘DVD+R’.” Huh? Is there a difference? I got the ones the guy said to get. Am I gullible? Was he telling the truth?

There’s really no difference. DVD-R is the actual standard. But a group of people came out with DVD+R so they didn’t have to pay lisence fees and such.
So they both do the same thing. Just go with whichever is cheapest.

tell the guy to shove it next time …back when dvd burners came out at first you wer better off getting dvd-r becasue alot of older dvd players wont play dvd+r and thetas not the case anymore just buy what is cheaper …if DVD-r is cheaper get that if dvd+r is cheaper get those …the guy definatly foesnt havea clue about the two your bettor off getting dvd-rs since more players play those
