I wonder how in the world soap operas stay on t.v. Isn’t there enough drama in life? Do people really have to tune in and watch the soaps? Today has been crazy…And it’s not even MY drama!
I just got to thinking, there are people who tune in every day and watch afternoon soap operas, there are magazines dedicated to these soaps…how do people watch it? Isn’t it possible to O.D. on drama? I am emotionally drained after watching people deal with the stress in their world today. I can’t imagine tuning in just to get the drama fix every day.
I don’t know, maybe soap fans need to shut off the t.v. and deal with real life! Hell, maybe I’m wrong. That happens a lot!

Some people just manufacture drama. I’m a big believer that there’s only as much drama in your life as you allow. I can’t stand the stuff, so I try to stay disconnected from the people that are the “source” of it. Obviously there’s gonna be moments in everybody’s life where somebody goes behind your back, or embarrasses you in front of friends. But I think a person can still deal with those situations without all the sob story.
My personal favorite though are the “Proud Bitches”. You know, they are the folks that say, “I’m the kind of person that if I have something to say, I’ll just walk right up to ’em and say it. They want to sit there and talk behind my back, we’ll I’ll get in their face and tell ’em I don’t like ’em. I know I’m a bitch. Tee hee hee.” Usually they say such things about 5 minutes after the person they’re talking about left.
The soap opera thing, I’m not sure about. I suppose they’re so over the top that it makes even the real life drama queens feel a little better about the world. The acting is so terrible though!
