Cedar Bluff

We decided to get away for a couple days and check out Cedar Bluff. I had a great time. We didn’t catch anything, well Duane caught a turtle. The fish just swam around taunting us. It was actually funny. There were too many of the dragon flies and they were literally jumping up in front of us and eating them. But we saw three or four white tail deer and a couple mule deer come down to the lake to drink, the cranes were out there scooping up fish and eating them. There were pheasants, turkeys…all kinds of wildlife down there that evening. I enjoyed that just as much as catching fish.

I admit, it surprised me that it was so different than Milford in appearance. All sand and weeds, few trees… not as green and not nearly as well maintained. Still, not a bad place to camp.

    Nice. Sounds pretty relaxing.

Andrea and I are going on a canoe trip this coming weekend. I’m not really sure where it’s at. Somewhere in Oklahoma. That should be a nice get away. Probably the last chance I’ll have for the year.
