“I can make it on my own.”

Lil’ brudder takes another hit. After hitting a patch of ice and sliding over a curb on my way to work, I am now less one wheel. I debated getting a new wheel, as the old one was beyond repair. But the salvage yard didn’t have one, and all the tire place would sell me was a custom 14″ rim. (Appearanly he didn’t see what I was driving.) So I’m gonna ride the donut for a few weeks.

It’s getting closer and closer to new car time. I saw an ad for an ’80 Monte Carlo in the paper for $1500 which is looking like a better deal all the time. 😉

Not until I’m at least 25. I looked at a 79 vette a while back and the insurance is still over $1000 every 6 months. =P Maybe on my 25th birthday.

Well I saw a 1969 Buick GS for sale in Iowa. Only $1000 bucks, but the body looks like it’s in good shape, and the car would look pretty good with a fresh coat of paint and some carpet on the inside. And it reportedly is mechanically sound. Less than 100,000 mi. as well.

I’m not saying I’m going for it. But it’s something like I’d want to be getting here an a couple months. If you see anything like it, let me know.
