Okay. I always knew Ogden wasn’t the classiest place. I mean my neighborhood is far from picturesque. But I was driving around the town today trying to find a car that Mom is interested in and WOW. There’s some places that are…uh…decayed. Yeah, we’ll use that word. It’s nicer.
Trailer parks with cars parked in the driveways that looked like they’d been lit on fire. Angry dogs running loose in the streets. Houses that looked like they hadn’t had a thing done to them since the day they were built. Just scary looking neighborhoods. Lots of “No Tresspassing” signs tied to the flimsy chain link fence in the front yards. Even one sign that said, “Forget the dog, BEWARE OF OWNER.” Ha ha.
I guess I never really drove around the town and paid attention. Suppose I just tried to tune it out. But MAN! I don’t have real high standards, but talk about some perspective. Glad I’m moving come the end of June.

So I guess I shouldn’t move to Ogden? Man, and I had my heart set on it. My standards aren’t too high but from the sounds of it I’d never make it.

I had my camera, but pictures don’t do it justice. Everybody’s seen a crappy run down house, or a car up on blocks. But you just gotta be there, and have the experience of it all around you. I feel like such a success in life!

So you’re saying Ogden is the ‘Harlem’ of the Little Apple? Sorry to send you out into the ‘hood!
